Hedge apples

Hedge Apples come from the osage orange trees on my
farm.
If you are having a time getting rid of spiders, bugs,
etc. in your home take some of these, leave them whole or cut them in half and
place in room with insect problems with no or very little noticeable odor and
the bugs just disappear!
Be sure to place them in a bowl (such as an
aluminum dish or other economical dish) as the sap is really sticky and they
will eventually deteriorate which depends on the temperature (3-12 weeks). The
cooler it is, the longer they last! When they decay they need replaced
either disposed of or fed to the squirrels, buy
extras for replacements.
Keep bugs away organically! This is
not an old wives tale, it really works!
Place one hedge apple or split in half in each room (like underneath the bed, desk
or dresser etc. just to hid them) or underneath your house or in your basement.
This does not
kill them, the bugs just disappear!!
One of our customers had small spiders, that make cob webs etc. the professional
bug exterminator could not control them. He recommended using hedge apples. She
got some from us and reordered two weeks later. They really worked, so she gave
some of them to her friends
These are not for Human Consumption!
So Economical! and NO Chemicals
They are only available in the
fall and they are ready to harvest now.
The one in the picture is 4 1/2 in diameter. They weigh about 1 pound
each. I harvest these on my farm.
Refrigerate extras for longer shelf life and have some to use year round
